9:01A young girl, possibly around the age of 17, lay in her bed. She heard the soft rhythm of the rain outside, tapping her window. The thunder called for an entrance to her room. She looked up at the ceiling, her eyes full of tears. The clock's ticking seemed to slow. She sat up and looked at the time. 8:57. Who would go to bed so early? Her, she was extremely tired that day and spent all morning preparing for the visit of a friend who never came. She sighed and walked to the kitchen, pulling out a cup and filling in with milk.
